At the NCC we are offering four (4) different competition categories
RX
RX Team
The Community
The Community Scaled

RX – If you are within the top 40 RX finishers of the Online Qualifier and then go on to win the Finals at the NCC February 14th-16th, you will secure your ticket to the 2020 CrossFit Games. If you are ready to showcase your skills and strength in the ultimate test of fitness, register for the RX Male or RX Women category.

RX Team – The RX Team will consist of two male and two female athletes competing together. If you are within the top 20 finishers of the Online Qualifier and then go on to win the Finals at the NCC February 14th-16th, your team will secure a ticket to the 2020 CrossFit Games.
If you are ready to showcase your skills and strength in the ultimate test of fitness, register for the RX Team category.

The Community – This division is appropriate for athletes that are not yet at the RX level of competing but who are eager to showcase their fitness on the same stage as some of the world’s best athletes. If you are within the top 20 finishers of the Online Qualifier you will qualify for the Community Finals at the NCC February 14th-16th, but you will not be able to go on to the 2020 CrossFit Games. You will be tested in basic CrossFit skills with a level slightly lower than the Open, yet more advanced than a typical scaled division. There will be no Handstand Walks or heavy Olympic lifts in this category. If this level is appropriate for your current skill level, register for The Community division.

The Community SCALED – This division is appropriate for athletes that are not yet at the RX level of competing and who lack the more advanced skills of competing in the aforementioned Community category. If you are within the top 20 finishers of the Online Qualifier you will qualify for the Community Finals at the NCC February 14th-16th, but you will not be able to go on to the 2020 CrossFit Games. You will be tested in basic CrossFit skills with a level slightly lower than the Open Standard, yet slightly more advanced than a typical scaled division. There will be no Handstand Walks, heavy Olympic lifts, or Muscle Ups in this category. If this level is appropriate for your current skill level, register for The Community SCALED division.

Please note: During the NCC Finals, The Community and The Community SCALED will compete together at the same level, following a competition standard with skill requirements below that of the CrossFit Open, but above that of the CrossFit Open Scaled level. There will be no handstand walks or Muscle Ups.

Determine what standard you will follow during the CrossFit Open:
a. RX athletes must do the CrossFit Open Standard
b. RX Team must do the CrossFit Open Standard
c. The Community must do the CrossFit Open Standard
d. The Community Scaled must do the CrossFit Open Scaled

Register for the NCC and complete the Online Qualifier requirements
When you have decided on the appropriate category to compete in, go to Competition Corner Norwegian CrossFit Championship Online Qualifier to register. When you have completed the registration and paid the registration fee you will receive a confirmation email.

You will then wait until the Online Qualifier is released on October 10th, 2019. The NCC Online Qualifiers will be the same as the CrossFit Open workouts. This means that you will use your Open results and enter these results on Competition Corner under the “Norwegian CrossFit Championship Online Qualifier” tab. However, you do NOT need to be registered for the Open to compete at the NCC (although we recommend it as a means to compare your scores with the international CrossFit Community).

You have until 11pm (23:00) GMT+2 October 23th to register online for the NCC Online Qualifier. This means that you have from October 10th until the 23rd to improve your scores for 20.1 and 20.2 before you chose to register your results. However, when the registration window closes at 11pm (23:00) GMT+2 October23th, you must follow the general entry requirements as the Open to register your weekly scores.

Team Registration Requirements
Teams will do the Online Qualifier individually, and you will then combine your scores for the registration entry. You do not need to complete the Online Qualifiers together, or even in the same country. When the NCC Online Qualifier window is closed, we will randomly collect video evidence from your qualifier workouts. You only need to provide footage when it is requested and thus there is no requirement for weekly video submissions.

When we have verified all Online Qualifier entry results, we will release the final leaderboards for all competition levels and subsequently being sending out NCC Finals invitations for February 14th-16th, 2020.

6. Other
All athletes that will participate at the NCC will have a hotel room at the competition venue. You will receive more information about the logistics during the Online Qualifier.
